Anthony Lee Jones, 70, died September 19, 2017.
Anthony “Slim” Jones, was born March 18, 1947 to the late Ruth Lee Jones. He was a proud Douglass High School Red Devil, where he set records as a member of the track team.
Anthony accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in March 2013. He departed this life the morning of Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Methodist North Hospital. He leaves his devoted wife, Mattie B. Jones; five daughters, Marva Jean Barnes, Tammie “Shun” Hayes (Thomas), Antoinette “Tiny” Jones-Richardson (Jason), Annette “Ba Jones” Jones and LaShondra Jones; Tasha, his baby, preceded him in death; one son, Travis Borner, also preceded him in death; one brother, Herbert Lee Jones and one sister, Diane Houston (Lopez). He also leaves fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
