Obituary for Mary Greene
Mary Greene, affectionately known as “Sister” was born in the Mount Olive Community of Holmes County, Lexington, Mississippi, to the late James Land and Hattie Land on March 30, 1946. The third child of four children. Three brothers, James Earl Land, Eugene Land, and Willie Arthur Land preceded her in death.
Mary departed this life peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the home of her son and daughter in law, Warner & Tabitha Greene, who cared for her so diligently for the past several years.
Mary attended the Lucy Webb Elementary School of Greenville, Mississippi.
Mary was joined in Holy Matrimony to Warner Greene, Sr. To this union, two children were born, Lashon Lisa and Warner Mahlon.
Mary confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She united and attended Church in Greenville, Mississippi until she relocated to Jackson, Mississippi, where she attended Church regularly until her health failed.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, LaShon Lisa Greene-Daniels (Larry) of Madison, Mississippi; one son, Warner Mahlon Greene, Jr. (Tabitha Evette) of Germantown, Tennessee; four granddaughters, Marissa Ashton Greene, Amber Megan Greene, Kiersten Sierra Greene, and Kamryn Elizabeth Greene, all of Germantown, Tennessee, four grandsons, Larry Terrell Daniels, II, Avery James Daniels, Corey Alexander Daniels, and Omari Ramone Daniels, all of Madison, Mississippi; 2 great-grandson, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
