Obituary for Albert Williams, Jr.
Albert Williams, Jr., 83 of Memphis, died March 17, 2016. Albert was born May 3, 1932 to Ida Mae and Albert Williams, Sr. He confessed to Christ at an early age.
Albert was united in holy matrimony to the late Ora Lee Dixon on November 25, 1954. To this union, six children were born, one of whom preceded them in death.
Albert leaves behind to mourn three sons, Jerry (Paulette) Williams, Lonnie Williams, and Tony (Joyce) Williams; three daughters, Charlie (Heron) Edwards, Alberta Shelton, and Bobbie Williams; four brothers, the late McKinley (Lillie) Williams, James (Gladys) Williams, Lewis Williams, and Bobby (Josie) Williams; two sisters, Lula Davis and Willetta Williams; twenty-nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
Albert’s family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 11am until 1pm at Serenity Funeral Home. The Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Drive, Memphis, Tennessee 38134. (901) 379-0861. Burial will be at Pleasant Rest Cemetery.
