Allen Lee Holden, age 54 passed away on June 16, 2021.
Allen was born in Memphis, TN to William Wayne Holden and Mary Ann Holden (Markle) on April 14, 1967.
Allen’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His strength, courage and hope reminded us of the preciousness of life. Allen was known for his great advice, his infectious smile and his compassionate spirit. Allen enjoyed traveling to the beach, planning camping trips to the lake and sitting on his patio surrounded by family and friends. During the holidays, he enjoyed entertaining, cooking his favorite dishes and buying gifts for his loved ones.
Allen leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents William Wayne and Mary Ann Holden of Oakland, TN; Sister Wanda “Suzie” Whitten of Bartlett, TN; Sister Sandra Gunter of Memphis, TN; Brother John Wayne Holden of Oakland, TN; Nephews Johnny Mashburn (Debbie), Brandon Mashburn and Shane Holden (Skylar); Niece Jennifer Hamilton (Garrett); Dogs Dillon and Charlie and Cat Lucky.
He is preceded in death by his parental grandparents, Hershel and Nannie Holden; maternal grandparents Milton and Emma Markle; his beloved dog Solo and numerous friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 – 4:00 PM on July 10, 2021, at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
