Obituary for Annie Mae Everett
Annie Mae Everett, 96, passed away peacefully Wednesday December 23rd. Annie Mae was born in Amite, Louisiana, and moved to Memphis in 1969. She joined those who preceded her in death, including her husband of 48 years, Estell Everett, Sr., a son, Frank Miner, and a step-daughter, Susie Watts. She leaves to cherish her memory five sons, Estell Everett, Jr.(Julia Brown), James Henry Everett (Amelia), Earl Everett (Bernadine), Robert Lee Everett (Loray), and Charles Lester Everett (Yolanda), all of Memphis, Tennessee; one step-son, Charles Bell (Fannie) of Chicago, Illinois; three daughters, Rosie Lee Miner of Haines City, Florida, Bessie Mae Herring (Levi Herring, Sr., deceased), and Estella Louise Foster, both of Ruleville, Mississippi. She also leaves 36 grand children, 59 great-grand children, a host of great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church-Westwood, 620 Parkrose Road, Memphis. Burial will follow at Memphis National Cemetery, 3568 Townes Avenue, Memphis.
