Obituaries
Annie M. Elem was born to the late Sim Anderson Elem and Viola Hams Elem on July 11, 1930 in Batesville, Mississippi. She devoted her life to Christ at an early age.
Annie attended Macedonia School in Batesville. She later moved to Memphis, Tennessee and joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Annie Elem joined in holy matrimony with John A. Patton. Annie later married Odie Neely in 1990. She became a member of Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Walker Wright.
Annie Neely is preceded in death by her husband, Odie Neely, and her two sons, Lewis and Ben Patton. On December 8, 2016, Annie Neely was called home to be with the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Sim Elem, Jesse ton, and Willie Williams; four daughters, Viola (Leroy Jr.) Wilbourn, Carrie Patton, Vanessa Brown, and Victoria (Morris) Ruffin; thirty two grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Road. Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 918 Looney Avenue. Burial at Memorial Park Southwoods.
