Annie Pearl Smith, 76, died January 19, 2020.
Annie Pearl (Bridgeforth) Smith was born on March 26, 1943 to the late Golden and Willie Mae Bridgeforth in Memphis, Tennessee. She entered the presence of the Lord on January 19, 2020 at her home with family and friends.
Annie Pearl was baptized at an early age at Magnolia Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Magnolia Jr High School in 1957. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1961. She was employed at Methodist Central Hospital for many years until she retired. She was married to the late Dessie Smith and to this union two handsome sons were born, Reginald Smith and Gentry Smith.
Annie Pearl loved to travel. Her favorite place to visit was Africa, the Homeland. She visited there often, telling of its amazing beauty. Now she is home in Heaven, the most amazing place in the world surrounded by beauty we can never imagine, until we get Home.
Annie Pearl leaves to mourn her passing, her sons: Reginald Smith and Gentry Smith; her daughter-in-love: Kimberly Martin; her four grandchildren: Riaco Smith (Cali Neal), Joshua Smith, Keturah Smith, and Amirah Smith; her sisters: Nellie (Edward) Morris, Marguerite Williams, Delois Brooks, and Toni Bridgeforth; her very good friends: Deborah Parson, Pam Taylor, and Regina Ferguson-Collins, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
