Obituary for Archie Mae Maclin
Archie Mae Maclin was born to the late Archie and Minnie Pittman on July 15, 1944 in Fayette County, TN. She transitioned on March 24, 2020, joining her husband of 35 years, David G. Maclin, Sr. and her son, Londell Maclin.
Having professed her faith in Christ, she spent most other Christian life as a member of Prospect M.B. Church in Mason, TN. The last eight years of life, she joined New Life Community Church under the leadership of her son-in-law, Pastor Maurice Rooks.
Archie Mae Maclin had a passion for cooking, watching her favorite TV show, Young & Restless, spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed going to church on Sunday morning. As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother if you needed anything she would give you the shirt off her back.
Archie Mae Maclin was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Maclin, Sr., one son, Londell Maclin, her parents and five siblings.
Archie Mae Maclin leaves to cherish her memories: three girls, Corena (Maurice) Rooks of Rossville, TN, who cared for her for 8 years in their home, Daisy Maclin of Memphis, TN, Kametra Maclin of Alexandria, VA; four sons, David (Diane) Maclin of Galloway, TN, Roy Lee (Latoya) Maclin of Ypsilanti, MI, Tony (Michelle) Maclin of Arlington, TN and Nathaniel Maclin of Rossville, TN; one sister, Lucy Ann Taylor; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
