Argatha Mae Worrell, 81, died January 12, 2020.
Argatha M. Wilkerson-Worrell was born to the late Dave and Flossie Johnson Wilkerson on May 30, 1938. She departed this life on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Methodist University Hospital.
Mrs. Worrell the only girl born at 3 children to the Dave and Flossie Wilkerson. Dalton and Frank Wilkerson preceded her in death. At a very early age, Argatha accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Williams Chapel Church. Later after moving to Memphis, she became a member of Mt. Moriah East Baptist Church.
Argatha married Robert Worrell on June 29, 1956 and had 2 daughters. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Argatha spent her life loving and helping any and everyone. She loved children, shopping, cooking and getting together with friends and family.
Mrs. Worrell leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Brenda Ingram-Worrell and Cynthia Worrell of Memphis, TN; 3 grandchildren, Amber Ingram Glover of New York, NY, Vanessa Ingram of Memphis and a grandson-in-law, Aeron Glover of New York, NY; 3 sister-in-law’s, Stella Wilkerson of Mason, TN, Ruby Evans of Chicago, IL and Rosie Crews of Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was very much love and will be missed by many.
