Obituary for Audrey A. Mumford
Audrey A. Mumford, 64, passed away April 5, 2021.
Audrey affectionally called “Kookie” - the daughter of Henry “Doward” and Lois Leola Mumford was born May 22, 1956. She was indeed the apple of her father’s eye and her mother’s miracle baby. Her honors and academic achievements, spanning from high school, graduate school, the US Navy to civil service are exceptional. However, what mattered most to Audrey was family namely, her loving husband Chuck, oldest daughter Delores, only son Juleon, baby girl Sydni, grandson Rodney, granddaughters Jayla, Evaya and Ryah.
Audrey’s commitment to God was deep, she was saved and spirit-filled as a teenager. In high school, on senior picture day most students thrived to find striking fashionable poses. Not Audrey, she stood proudly holding the book she loved and lived by, the Holy Bible. She never sought the limelight, rather she enjoyed time at home quietly sipping hot coffee, cooking mouthwatering meals and sharing tender moments with family.
Her husband, children, mother, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are left with rich memories and a legacy of service that will live forever.
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
II Timothy 4:8
