Obituary for Bessie Henderson
Bessie Henderson, 68, died January 25, 2017.
Bessie L. Henderson was born to the late Katherine Thomas and Ivory Jackson in Memphis, Tennessee on September 28, 1948.
Bessie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She enjoyed fellowship with the saints on Sundays. She also enjoyed reading her Bible and talking with her friends, Dorena Jenkins, Evangelist Darlene Whitmore and Judy Harris. Bessie worked for D & S Community Services, where she took care of her patient, Tamika Jenkins, whom she loved dearly.
Bessie transitioned to her earthly home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Baptist East Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, Reginald Jackson, Keith Jackson, Clarence Bunton, and Tawanda Jackson; four brothers, Milton Caviness, Jr., Ivory Jackson, Jr., Cleveland Jackson, and Raymond Jackson; three sisters, Judy (Kenneth) Brandon, Annie Blakley, and Evelyn of California; 29 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles and friends. Preceding her in death were Shirley Caviness, and Napoleon Russell.
Bessie is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
