Mrs. Brenda Taylor, born on September 17, 1951, in Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in her hometown of Memphis, TN. Brenda lived a life dedicated to service and caring for others, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.
Brenda was a retired dispatcher for the Bartlett Police Department, where she worked diligently and passionately, ensuring the safety and well-being of her community. Her career was a testament to her commitment to helping others, a commitment she carried into her retirement by providing loving care for her mother for many years.
She is survived by her son, Matt Taylor; her sister, Renee Edwards; her cherished granddaughter, Hadley Taylor; and several nephews, as well as many other loved ones. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Danny G. Taylor; her brother, James P. Witt; her father, Jesse J. Witt; and her mother, Janice S. Witt. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose generous spirit touched the lives of many.
A memorial service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, located at 1638 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 1 p.m. All who knew and loved Brenda are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brenda's name to a charity of your choice, continuing her legacy of care and compassion.
