In Loving Memory of Charles Robert Gay
Charles Robert Gay, a man of gentle spirit and unwavering loyalty, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, in the city of his birth, Memphis, Tennessee. Born on September 2, 1961, Robert lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and a deep devotion to those he held dear.
Robert's roots were firmly planted in Memphis, where he attended Craigmont High School. Above all, Robert cherished his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Capucine Ruble, whose life was woven together with his. His legacy continues through his son, CJ Gay (Katie), and his daughter, Lauren Gay. Robert’s joy was multiplied by his grandchildren: grandsons Tommy and Cody, and granddaughter Rebecca. He was a loving son to Gwen Gay and a caring brother to Cherri Sims and Renee Sholly (Johnny), all of whom will hold his memory close. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles C.
