Charlie Leroy Rice, Sr., 78, died May 29, 2019.
Charlie Leroy Rice Sr. was born February 16, 1941 to the union of Rogers Rice and Annie Rice. He graduated from Manassas High School in 1959. Shortly afterwards, he became a member of the Armed Forces in the United States Navy, where he served his country for 21 proud years. He enjoyed traveling throughout his lifetime and also telling many stories about life, and his experiences in the Navy. Charlie Leroy Rice Sr. departed this life on May 29, 2019. He was preceded by his wife Jerlean Rice and their shared son: Charlie Leroy Rice III. He also cherishes the memory of his other children: Charlie L. Rice Jr., Stephanie Rice, Crystal Rice, and Christopher Rice (deceased). His two living siblings Lenard Rice and Bernice Rice and seven deceased siblings: Sylvester Rice, John Eddie Rice, Leroy Rice, Robert Walton, Annie Walton, Hazel Harvey, Jeanette Rice; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, and other relatives. We will forever cherish the memory of his life quote: “You cannot drive in a car looking out of the rear view mirror, but only ahead, so you might as well keep moving forward in life”.
