Obituaries
Danny Lee Hays, 76, of Bartlett, TN and formerly of Coldwater, MS died at home on Aug 29, 2023.
He was born Dec 27, 1946 in Lexington, TN, the son of the late Orvel and Wilma (Smith) Hays.
He was a truck driver for the majority of his life logging millions of safe miles and retired in 2013.
More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Trudy Hays, both his parents, a sister Paulette and a brother Larry Hays Sr.
He leaves behind his daughter Dana Johnson (Chris) of Bartlett, TN, his grandchildren Kelsey Ramirez (Josh) of Louisville, KY, Craig Johnson (Josslyn) of Killeen, TX, his brother Mack Hays (Cathy), his sister-in-law Glenda Hays, his sister Sandra Frazier (Robert), one great-grandson Leonidas Flores-Johnson and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
He will be cremated per his wishes and his memorial service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home in Bartlett at 2 pm on Sunday the 3rd of September.
The family would also like to acknowledge the compassionate and excellent care he received from the staff at Crossroads Hospice.
The family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
