Obituaries

Debbie Louise Penilton Boseman was born February 19,1963 in Memphis, Tennessee.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of nine at Hickory Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor William Faulkner.
Even as a newborn, Debbie was always known for being particular about every aspect of her life. From her own personal cleanliness, to how she cared for her belongings, and especially when it came to her clothes. One of her lifelong hobbies was fashion and shopping. Her prissy demeanor and personality could always be seen by the way she dressed and how she carried herself. Debbie was consistently neat, clean, and well put together.
Debbie graduated from Germantown High School in 1980. Later, she attended Devry University, followed by other universities. In her late teens, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she met her husband, Neil C. Boseman Sr. They married in 1986 and from their union were born Neil C. Boseman II and Ryan S. Boseman.
In 1998, Debbie joined the United States Navy Reserve. She completed 18 years of service where she thoroughly enjoyed her experiences and the people she met along the way. Through the military, Debbie was also able to satisfy two more of her personal interest; traveling and photography. She was the first to fearlessly volunteer for orders to somewhere she had never been and there was 100% certainty that she would return with a full portfolio of pictures.
Recently in her spare time, she was a volunteer for the Tennessee Association of Blind Athletes. There, she was a friend, driver, assistant, and she attended many of their events.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Rogers and in October of 2016, her son, Neil C. Boseman II.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Neil C. Boseman Sr; daughter, Ryan S. Boseman; mother, Mattie Eaton; brothers, Warren Penilton of Atlanta, Sheldon Rogers, Barron Rogers, Brian Rogers (Rosie) of Milwaukee; sisters, Sheliah DeLeva of Atlanta, TiJuanna Eaton of Memphis; and an abundance of relatives, friends, and shipmates.
