On October 2, 1957God Blessed George and Creassie Russell with the birth of their youngest daughter Deloris Ann Russell. Deloris was born in Memphis Tennessee. Both of her parents preceded her in death;however they loved her dearly and openly expressed their unwavering love for her prior to death.
On Thursday February 23, 2023, Godlooked around his garden and found an empty place. He looked down upon the earth and saw Deloris tired face. He whispered in her ear “Come to Me” and Deloris made a quiet transition from her earthly life to her heavenly home in Gods Garden. She was freed from the limitations of her earthly existence and her spirit was moved to a higher place.Deloris was born into a family of six siblings,four of which preceded her in death. Billy Joe Russell, George Russell Jr., CurtisWaltonand Larry Russell. Deloris married Howard Hines Jr. and to that union one child was born.
Left to cherish and rejoice in her loving memory one daughter that she loved Immensely Tierney Hines, two grandchildren, Deterrian Hines and Khaliyah Burnett, one sister, Helen (Louis) Burks. a host of nieces’ nephews, cousins and friends.
Deloris was a compassionate woman and loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren.Deloris was given the nickname “Squeeze” by her family members as a child, but was also faithfully referred to as Lois. She was dedicated to ensuring the well-being and safety for her family. She never missed an opportunity to express her love and dedication to Deterrian and Khaliyah. She was a hard worker and strived to be the best person that she could be.Bearing a huge heart of Gold on this side of earth she wore many hats, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, faithful friend, dedicated sister and advocate spade player with her partner/cousin Yolanda Odom. There wasn’t anything she would not have done for anyone. She found joy and happiness in the many roles and graciously walked in her destiny.
