Obituary for Eric Carter
Eric Carter, 54, passed away November 7, 2020.
Eric Leonard Carter was born November 2, 1966 to Everett Leonard Carter and Mary Louise Carter in St. Louis Missouri. He was baptized on November 10, 1974. He attended South County Technical School and was led to further his education at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN. In which he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. He also played baseball and pledged in a fraternity becoming a member of Phi Beta Sigma (“YOU KNOW”). During his career path as an accountant, he served and worked at very prominent companies throughout the mid-south. Most recently at Frayser Community Development Corporation.
In his spare time, he played baseball and basketball in an adult intramural league at church. He preferred the jerseys he played in had the number “7”. That was his lucky number. He later coached his own basketball team named “Wolverines”. Eric had a passion for sports.
In 2007 he became a father to a baby boy Everett Carter. That day, Eric stated it was the best day of his life, becoming a proud father. The proudest moments in Eric’s life was being Everett’s dad.
On November 7, 2020 Eric transitioned his life upon the earth where he is preceded by a son(Everett Carter), a daughter(Lapria Harris), brother(Danny Carter), 2 nephews(Myles Carter and Kendall Carter), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
