Obituary for Eric Payne
Eric Payne, 53, died December 23, 2016.
Eric Payne was born on July 19, 1963, to Frank and Glenora Payne. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Bethel Temple COGIC in Memphis, TN, where he was a member for about 10 years. He later joined Greater Community Temple COGIC in 1993, where he served as a Deacon, Male Chorus Coordinator, Member of the Finance Team, and President of the Men’s Fellowship.
Eric graduated from Central High School in 1981. He worked at FedEx for 30 years in different positions until his health began to decline.
Eric married Tenje Houston in 1994, and to this union, one beloved daughter was born.
God called Deacon Payne home on Friday, December 23, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Frank Payne; his mother, Glenora Payne; his daughter, Kelsie Lauren Payne; one brother, Frank Payne (LaTonya); three nieces, LaQuita Payne, LaTosha Payne, Brittani Kee (Zhahquan); additional nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends, and his Starbuck’s family.
