Fredric O. Alexander was born March 18, 1969 in Corinth, Mississippi to L. C. Alexander and Jean Ailene (McGee) Alexander. He attended Kossuth High School, where he became well known as a good Football player. He graduated from Kossuth High School in 1987. He then went on to attend Northeast Mississippi Junior College in Booneville, MS on a Football Scholarship and continued his studies at the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL.
Fredric Alexander moved to Memphis, TN in 1994. He was a faithful member of the Wolfchase Church of Christ in Cordova, TN. He worked for Memphis Light Gas & Water as a Machine Operator for the past ten years until he began to experience health issues.
Fredric leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Farren L. (Simmons) Alexander and sons; Fredric A. Alexander and Aaren B. Alexander of Cordova, TN. Fredric is also survived by his brother Reginald (Michelle) Alexander of Huntsville, AL. He leaves a host of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends to morn his life. His parents preceded him in death.
Fredric enjoyed ‘belly shipping’ as he would say which meant spending time fellowshipping while eating, talking, laughing, and joking with friends. He would either be talking about Sanford & Son or the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was dedicated to service in the Church, as a Brother in Christ, Youth Ministry leader, Youth Counselor and Youth Bible School Teacher. He found great joy in encouraging all Youth by letting them know he cared and getting them involved in events & activities. Talking on the phone to his MLGW buddies while dealing with health issues helped him still feel a part of a job he loved. He was tremendously proud of his sons telling them to be faithful to the Lord. He was always there for them, attending cross country meets, football games, and even practices no matter what. Fred will truly be missed by everyone.
He’s only gone on ahead of you,
Not just left you behind.
Although you can’t be with him right now,
He lives on in your heart and mind.
The day will come when you’ll meet again
On Heaven’s distant shore,
And the two of you will walk hand in hand
Together forever more.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
