Obituary for Gloria Jean Lee
Gloria Jean Lee, 74, died September 11, 2018.
Gloria J. Lee was the daughter of the late Jack H. & Rosetta M. Miller of Memphis, TN. Three of her siblings preceded her in death, Eddie James “Mighty” Miller, Glen Edward Miller and Betty Ann “Cookie” Miller. Gloria leaves to mourn her passing one sister Beatrice Anderson(Rufus) of St. Louis, Missouri, three children Cynthia Blair, James Finnie and Angela Fleming (Gifford) all from Memphis, Tennessee. She has five grandchildren Ronald Jones Burdine, Chemika Jones (Rahja), Brandon Fleming, Brea Fleming and Shaylah Finnie. She also has four great-grandchildren, Kamari, Chloe’, Caleb and Caydence and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Gloria Lee confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. In 1973 she was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church and her church home was Longview Heights. She later transitioned to the Overton Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she currently served as Prayer Ministries Leader and was fondly known as “The Prayer Warrior”. She previously served as a Children’s Sabbath School Teacher, Usher, Greeter and Deaconess.
Gloria Lee was retired from the Memphis Defense Depot where she was employed for over 25 years. After retirement, she ventured into a fulfilling career of Care-giving. She loved meeting people and never met a stranger. Her passion was sharing and witnessing about the goodness of God and wanted all to be saved and to have a personal relationship with Him.
