Gloria B. Jones was born on June 26, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Albert and Addie Burton.
She graduated from Hamilton High School and confessed her life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of Herbert Kneeland Jr. at Union Valley Baptist Church. She was a devoted member of the Women’s Welcome Committee.
Gloria was employed by the Defense Depot and later retired from Walmart Supercenter.
On July 1, 1968, she joined in holy matrimony with Ulysses B. Jones Jr.
From this union, two daughters were born: Carsenia McDonald and Wendy Jones.
Gloria gracefully and quietly returned to the Lord on November 6, 2025. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her husband, Ulysses; her daughters, Wendy and Carsenia (Ronald); her siblings, Bessie, Tonya, Alexander, and Andrew; and her brothers Thomas and Albert Jr., who preceded her in death.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Darren, Charrish, and Logann; her three great-grandchildren, Demiya, Kyrie, and Marquez Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Claudia, Mary, and Sandra; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
