Gwendolyn D. Newton, 68, died October 25, 2016.
Gwendolyn D. Newton was born September 1, 1948 to the late Brooks and Odessa Newton. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age.
She attended Melrose High School graduated in 1966, where she took great pride in getting an education. Gwendolyn retired from Technicolor.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Darold Newton, Melanie McCreight (Erskine) and Tracy Mabon (Leroy). Only one grandchild who she loved with all her heart, Ethan McCreight. Four sisters, Mary Newton- Johnson, Hattie Owens of California, Cynthia Hughey, and Joyce Wilson (Johnny). One sister-in-law Bettye Newton. Three brothers who preceded her in death, Alfred Newton, Carl Newton and Emanuel Newton. And a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.
