Ida Lee Shannon, 69, died July 20, 2019.
Ida Lee Shannon was born April 15, 1950 to the late Lewis and Ida Jordan in Memphis, TN.
In early life, Ida begin at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in the Douglas Community and later life she obeyed the gospel and became a member of the Church of Christ, where she remained until her death.
Ida graduated from Douglas High School. She had business studies at Shelby State Community College and Memphis Area Vocational Technology. She worked at Collins Chapel Hospital as a billing clerk and Federal Express as an order processor, as well as a teaching at Jack and Jill Day Care and Primary Prep School.
On July 20, 2019, Ida departed this life. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Lewis Jordan, Sr. and Mrs. Ida (Peterson) Jordan; two sisters, Shirley Jordan and Virginia Hale; and three brothers; Elzapha Jordan, Clarence Wright and Sylvester Jordan.
Ida leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Robert C. Shannon, Sr.; three children, Senita D., Robert C. Shannon, Jr., Carl L.; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson; one sister, Ladoris Mckinley (Sylvester); three brothers, Lewis Jordan, Jr., Lee Cal Jordan, Larry Paul Jordan; a mother-in-law, Sister Fannie M. Shannon; three sister-in-law's, Janet D. Howard, Janice D. Shannon (San Antonio, TX), and Paula Neal; two brother-in-law’s, John E. Shannon, Sr. and Billy J. Shannon, Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
