Idella Moore Banks, 67, died July 4, 2016.
Mrs. Idella M. Banks was born December 22, 1948 to the late Tom and Callie Tate Moore. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Liberty Hill Church under the leadership of Rev. Wynn. She attended Booker T. Washington graduated 1970, where she took great pride in getting an education. Della worked at U.S.F.G. Insurance Co. for 32 years, where she retired. She was united in holy matrimony to her beloved husband James Larry Banks. Unto their union they had five children; Barry (Mary) Moore of Memphis, TN., Travis (Tashia) Spencer of Memphis, TN., Trecia Lee (Gerald) of Memphis, TN., Charrs Banks, Tandra Lewis of Aurora, Colorado. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She also leaves to cherish her loving memories 5 sisters and 2 brothers, Josephine Patterson, Ora Ward (Noah), Minnie Moore Rainey, Barbara Ann (Larry) Baptist, Ethel Harris, Willie Lee (Mary) Crawford and L.M. (Louise) Tate. 1 sister, 6 brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation from 10:00 a.m. with service following at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Halliburton Missionary Baptist Church, 1970 Star Landing, Nesbit, MS 38651. Burial at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Memphis National Cemetery, 3568 Townes Ave., Memphis.
