Obituaries
Izora Scott was born in Brinkley Arkansas on March 15, 1933 to Herman and Veola Northington. Izora was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 12 under the leadership of Reverend Biles at Bloomfield Missionary Baptist Church. She remained an active member under Pastor Ralph White, renamed Bloomfield Full Gospel Church, until she could no longer attend.
Izora enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to the blues and gospel, cross-word puzzles, watching pro wrestling, and spending time with family and friends. Izora never complained because she believed in the power of prayer and loved her Lord and Savior. She was the neighborhood “Candy Lady” and known to everyone in Rolling Green Hills as, “Mrs. Baby Doll”
Izora leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Janice Forrest of Memphis, TN; two sons, Vincent Northington (Tami) of Columbia, South Carolina and Willie Herman Randal of Carrolton, TX; eight grandchildren, Melanie Hulbert, Maria Lacy, Vikki Jones, Vincent Northington II, JaKeena R. Milligan, Cory Northington, Zoe Randle, Zaili Randle; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Izora was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, John Lewis Scott.
