James Allen Grantham was born September 2, 1942 in Bolivar, TN to the late George and Ethel Grantham. Also preceding him in death was his infant sister, Laverne Grantham.
At the age of 18 he met and married the love of his life, Carlene Dowdy Grantham, on May 23, 1961 and enjoyed 61 years and two days of life and love with her. Together they had two sons, James Paul Grantham
(Deborah) and Trevor Lowell Grantham (Amie) and shared 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren who will sorely miss him. His remaining sister, Martha Bartholomew, will also cherish memories of James.
Professionally he spent most of his working life in sales and was a staff manager for National Life & Accident Insurance Co.
Personally he loved to fish, spinning tales and he never met a stranger.
He was a true People Person who loved people, especially his close friends. He was a faithful and true Christian as a member of Bartlett Baptist Church.
