Jessie Jean Nelson
Sunrise - July 8, 1938 * Sunset - June 22, 2018
Mrs. Jessie Jean Nelson was born into this world on July 8, 1938 in Quitman, Mississippi. She was the first born child to the late Catherine Davis and Rube Nelson. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband Roosevelt Dean, brothers, John E. Davis, Jimmy Lofton, M.C. Lofton and Meritt Lofton, daughter, Latasha LaSha Nelson, and granddaughter Lerosa Me-Chell Nelson.
Jessie accepted Christ at a young age. For many years she worked at Memphis Furniture Factory, Producer Warehouse, and Kimco. She later retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital. She had a passion for sewing, cooking, reading, studying the word of God, and loving her family.
On June 22, 2018 Jessie gently closed her loving eyes, and departed this life, knowing the love ones she left behind were ok.
Jessie J. Nelson leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters, Dianne (Marvin) Harris, LaQuita Nelson Dean, Rosemary (Anthony) Radford of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, Tonya Nelson Carter, Marquis Johnson, Stephanie Harris, Aaron Hall, MarQuita Shaw, and Brandon Hall; six great-grandchildren, Joshua (Micah) Nelson, Amiya Johnson, Cedric Carter II, Jasmine Carter, Sasha Harris and Micah Johnson; and two great-great grandchildren, Jaiden Nelson and Jaliyah Nelson; sisters, Mary Murray of Chicago, IL, Dorothy (Larry) Norman, Joyce (Laverne) Wright of Memphis, TN, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
