Josephine Jefferson was born January 6, 1950 to the late Andrew and Betty Merriweather. She gained her wings October 14, 2020. She was preceded in passing by siblings: Andrew Merriweather (brother), Sam Merriweather (brother), Isaac Merriweather (brother) Allen Merriweather (brother) and Ezekiel Merriweather (brother). She was the youngest of eight children. Everyone who knew her, knew she was a true woman of God, She served as a Missionary under the leadership of the late Bishop Jessie Lipford (Lakeview Community Temple COGIC), and a member of the Golden Circle and the Mother Board at New Sardis Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Harrenton. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband Robert Jefferson. Two loving children: Doris Merriweather and Morris Merriweather (Chasitity Merriweather) Two grandchildren: Joseph Powell and Gabriel Gipson Two great grand -children: Justice Watkins and Taylor Powell and Two sisters: Thelma McGlown and Cora Lee Williams all of Memphis, Tn.
