Joyce Anne Roddy, age 91, passed away on March 7, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Joyce loved life, loved her children. She loved to sing and dance. She sang in the choir. Her favorite colors were black and silver; the more bling, the better. Joyce took up fishing in her later years. She had pet birds. Everyone was always welcomed at her table. Joyce kept a beautiful yard. She made people a part of her extended family. She was predeceased by sons Robert J. Roberts III and Timothy Roberts, and daughter Virginia Ann Ledlow. She is survived by: children Barbara Beckenthal, Mary June Dozard, and Ed Roberts; grandchildren David Roberts, Brenda Johnson, Carrie Amos, Brian Dodson, Steven Beckenthal, Brad Roberts, Jim Roberts, Joel Roberts, Jeremy Ledlow, Melissa Roberts, Jennifer Wilaby, Sallie Basham, Michael Dodson, Russell Smith, and Natasha Smith; brothers Bobby Thomas and Mike Thomas, sister Pat Noll; and numerous beloved nieces, step-children, step-grandchildren, and great grand-children. She was a true family matriarch and will be fondly remembered and missed.
