Julie Ann Gibout, age 69, died January 10, 2026.
Julie Gibout of West Memphis was born Oct. 10,1956 she went home to be with the Lord January 10th 2026 with her precious granddaughter Carealine Simmons by her side. She was an artist but did not pursue her dream of art school because of the love and unwavering devotion to her family which became her dream.
Julie is preceded in death by her husband George Gibout, father Raymond Lagos, father-in-law Frederick Gibout, brother Gary Lagos, and sister Brenda Hall. Though they went before her she carried them in her heart every day. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Lagos, mother in law Joyce Gibout, children Cynthia “Star” Simmons, Georgina “GG” Gibout, Christian Gibout, and Taylor and Britney Douget, grandchildren Carealine Simmons, Lexis and Cody Cagle, Michael and Halley Clark, Austan Simmons, Raymond Miller, Michael Miller, Alayna Miller, Kylie Miller, Elijah Gibout, Jacob Simmons, Carson Gibout, Christian Gibout, Carter Gibout, Caleb Smith, Hollie Douget, Keiser Douget, Levi Douget, Brady Douget, Kinsley Douget and great grandchildren Laylah Clark and Liam Clark.
She loved her family deeply. Her love was steady, her heart generous, her presence truly irreplaceable. We will miss her more than words can say, but the kindness she lived by and the love she planted in all of us will carry on for generations.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Marion,
AR.
