Julius Williams, 87, died April 22, 2019.
Julius Williams was born October 19, 1931 to Gordie Williams and Minnie Lewis and fathered by Cevel Mayo.
Julius peacefully transitioned at the VA Hospital on April 22, 2019. He was led to Christ May of 2015 by a family friend. He served two years in the US Marine Corps. He retired from Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, Illinois after 31 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cevel and Minnie Mayo; as well as sisters, Christeen Laws, Aline Rankin; and brothers, Connell Mayo, Kenneth Mayo, Olivar Mayo, Harold Williams.
Julius is survived by his wife, Margaret Williams; his children, Debra (Robert) Barnes of Chicago, Kym Williams of Cordova, TN, Daryl (Pamela) Williams, Kevyn Williams both of Chicago, IL; his brothers, Samuel (Gemella) Mayo of Memphis, TN; his sisters, Gordie Lawson of Memphis, TN, Sam Ever (Raymond) Christopher of Eads, TN, Bertha (Walter) Triplett of Eads; sister-in-law, Catherine Williams of Memphis, TN and Clementine Mayo of Arlington, TN; a special daughter/granddaughter, Lekesha Williams; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and one special dog, Angel that he dearly loved.
