Karry “Grand” Granderson was born on May 30, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee. He departed this life on November 10, 2025, at Methodist University Hospital.
Grand was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Lawrence Granderson; his sister, Elizabeth Cheanil Granderson; his son, Kerry D’Andre Granderson; and his longtime partner, Carmen Nelson.
Grand accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized eight years ago. He and his siblings were raised by their parents in the North Memphis area. Grand enjoyed watching sports; he was a devoted Los Angeles Lakers fan, and his favorite NFL team was the San Francisco 49ers.
Grand leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Monica Calvin and Victoria Granderson; one granddaughter, Karlie Granderson; six brothers, Gary Anderson, Lawrence Granderson (Patricia), Tony Granderson, Andrew Granderson (Sherri Ann), Jefferey Granderson (Monica), and David Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
