Obituaries
He was preceded by his parents and his siblings, as well as his former wife Mrs. Reanet Lofton, his eldest daughter Bobby Lofton Puckett and James Puckett Jr., and Son-in-law Tommy C. Taylor.
To cherish his memory he leaves six daughters, Berta Moss (Lamar), Virginia Davis, Elaine Taylor, Dale Lofton, Ivy Shipp, (all of Memphis) and Emma J. Lofton of Richmond, VA. One son Kelly Lofton Jr. Fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren and great great grands.
He was a retired employee of the City of Memphis Public Works Department. His name is engraved in the I AM A MAN wall for prosperity as part of the 1968 sanitation strike.
