Obituary for LM McGuire
L.M. "Mack" McGuire, 68, died May 3, 2016.
LM McGuire, son of the late John and Ophelia McGuire was born December 30, 1947, in DeSoto County, Mississippi. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He departed this life on May 3, 2016, at Methodist Hospital South.
Preceding LM in death were his parents, John and Ophelia McGuire; his sisters, Corean and Alfreda, and brothers, John Eddie and Roy Lee.
In December of 1970, LM united in matrimony to Evelyn Manuel. From this union he leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter Sharonda L. Hardy (Robert), a son Timothy L. McGuire (Melaine) of Fayette County, Tennessee, and from a previous union, a daughter, Jennifer Lesure of Memphis. LM also leaves behind a special friend, Sakinah Saleem, and he affectionately loved and raised her children as his own, daughters, Amidah Waiters (Robert) and the late Kara McBride of Memphis; sons, Katarii Donald, Keusi Donald (Zenia), all of Memphis; Hassan Saleem (Tiffany) of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Hugh Miller of Jacksonville, Florida. He leaves four brothers, Earnest Labon (Martha), Chester McGuire (Minnie), Calvin McGuire (Brenda), and Timmie McGuire (Jo Ann), all of Memphis; four sisters, Annie Meeks (Michael), Alma Blakely (Tracy), Tena McGuire of Memphis and Ester Jones (Joe) of Southaven, Mississippi, a sister-in-law, Lealer Labon, 19 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation to be held from 5 - 7:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
Burial at Lagoshen Baptist Church Cemetery, 490 Lagoshen Drive, Moscow , TN 38057.
