Obituaries
Lauran was born on May 1, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee. From the very beginning, she was full of life — a beautiful, energetic soul who seemed to shine wherever she went. Growing up, she was known for her bright smile, her quick wit, and her undeniable charm. She was always one of the pretty, popular girls — a cheerleader, smart and clever — but more than that, she had a heart that truly cared for people. Whether it was friends, family, or even a stranger on the street, Lauran had a way of making people feel seen, and she was always ready to lend a hand or a kind word.
Lauran was a fighter. She worked hard at everything she did and faced life’s challenges with determination. No matter how tough things got, she never stopped trying. Especially when it came to being a mother. Her greatest desire was to be there for her son, Barry — to love him, support him, and provide for him. Even though life didn’t always make that easy, her love for him never changed. It was steady, it was fierce, and it was unconditional. He was her heart.
Lauran’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and love. She leaves behind our mother, Sherry; our father, David Sr.; her beloved son, Barry; her nephew Roman and me, her brother, David Jr. She also leaves behind countless friends and family members whose lives she touched along the way.
Her memory will live on — in her son’s life, in the hearts of her family, and in every story we tell about the way she made us laugh, the way she fought for others, and the love she gave so freely.
