Obituary for Lee Andrew Saulsberry, Sr.
Lee Andrew Saulsberry Sr., 66, died June 21, 2019.
Lee Andrew Saulsberry was born September 9th 1952 to the late Rather Walter and Onnie Lue Saulsberry in Memphis, TN. He was the youngest son of 7 children. Lee was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was a unique and caring person who touched the lives of all who knew him. Lee departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2019. He graduated from Hamilton high school where he met and united in Holy Matrimony to Retha Saine on February 12th 1977. Lee professed his life to Christ at an early age at Centenary United Methodist Church in Memphis, TN. He was also Associate Minister at Belmont Baptist Church in Arlington, TN under the leadership of Pastor Winfred Bailey for many years. With a passion for God’s word and learning, Lee graduated from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary with an Associate degree in Divinity. He later became a Pastor at Center Point Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. He was employed at CN Railroad for 25 years, and 12 years at Federal Express. Lee loved the outdoors and the tranquility of fishing. His mission was to help others and spread the gospel as much as possible.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Retha, four children Chenile Johnson (Stacy), Andre Saulsberry (Sharon), Toni Branch (Jason), and Lee Andrew Saulsberry, Jr. , mother in law, Elizabeth Saine, four brothers, Watson Anderson (Sammie), (deceased) Robert Anderson (Jean), Rather Saulsberry, Jr (Earnestine), Stanley Saulsberry (deceased), two sisters, Patricia Bishop, Lynwood Cross (Aubrey), three brother in laws, Murl Saine (Sandra), Earl Alexander (Ethel). Charlie Alexander (Trudy), one sister in law Katherine Alexander-Brown, two uncles, Lee Brunson, Charles Saulsberry (Jerri), and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
