Lorna was born to David Martin and Ethel Campbell-Martin on Jan. 26, 1960. She was the 5th child of six. Her father, David Martin and her sister, Doris Ann Martin White, preceded her in death.

Lorna grew up in the church; Some Sundays we were there from 9 until 10p. As a child, Lorna was an ambassador for the AOH Church of God going to different states representing. During her teenage years, she attended Jesus is the Way Church of God in Christ. In her later years, she was a faithful member of Cummings Street Baptist Church at 8800 Winchester Road.

She graduated from Melrose High School in 1979. She also received a degree in Bookkeeping from STCC. Lorna was a studious student and an avid book reader. Learning came easy for her. Hard work and that "Can Do" attitude of hers complemented Lorna's kind, loving, and giving heart. Lorna was a sweet child. Her name attests to her sweetness, she was named after the cookie, LORNA DOONE. Lorna last worked at the Internal Revenue Service where she worked her way up to become a Manager of the Accounts Management Division. Lorna shared her experience with the department for over 30 years.

Lorna's first marriage to Willie Rosser, Sr. brought forth 2 loved children and her 2nd marriage to Bobby Robins she had another child. Her daughter, Alexandria, brought her the joy of her life in her grand-daughter, Ciara. Anyone who knew Lorna, knows she loved her children. Lorna made sure her children, nieces and nephews always enjoyed the time that she spent with them. She was always jovial, kind, caring and funny. You could not be around Lorna and not laugh or smile. Her big smile was infectious in it self. Boy could Lorna uplift a spirit.

Lorna's memory is cherished by her 2 loving daughters, Ashley Rosser (Cornelius) and Alexandria Robins; her only son, Willie Rosser, Jr.; her only grand-daughter, Ciara Robins; a mother, Ethel Martin; 2 sister, Carolyn Johnson and Evelyn Guy; 2 brothers, Samuel Martin and Errol (John) Martin; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family, friends, and her work family.
