Obituaries
Lymia Renee Brooks was born at 9:41am on December 17, 1970, to Brenda Faye Brooks and the late, Claude Brooks, Sr. She acknowledged and confessed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and maintained that hope until her last breath.
Lymia, affectionately known as Mimi or Mia, was the middle child. Nestled between her eldest brother, Claude Brooks, Jr. and her baby brother, Anwar Brooks. As a child, Lymia idolized her big brother. Where he went, she would follow. What he told her , she did. If you ever get a chance, ask him about the Wasp's nest. Lymia often reflected on growing up with her older brother and would often share that in school no one messed with Claude Brooks Jr's sister - he was her protector. She also loved her little brother. As they grew in age their relationship strengthened and he became a partner in prayer. However, from birth to her passing, her greatest love was her mother, Brenda Faye Brooks. Lymia loved her mother fiercely - never missing a holiday or an opportunity to take her out and spend time with her.
Lymia also found love. She found love and stability in her Life Partner of 6 years, Stephanie Blair - who was with her through health and sickness. Lymia and Stephanie built a life together that included children, godchildren, and grandchildren. Lymia loved Stephanie and cherished and held tightly to the family and extended family they had grown.
Lymia leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Brenda F. Brooks; Life Parter, Stephanie Blair; two brothers, Claude (Kesha) Brooks and Anwar (Belinda) Brooks; niece, Crystal Brooks and nephews, Christopher Brooks, Christian Brooks, and Cameron Brooks; godchildren, Lionna, Tony, Saquoria, Keinesia, and Mallisya; grandchildren, Symia, Queshun, Ledarious, Myracle, and Jermal; and a host of extended family.
