Reflection of Life for Mark Windrick, Jr. “Lil Mark”
2 Timothy 4:6-8 “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
Time to Be Born:
Mark Tywayne Windrick, Jr., better known as “Lil Mark”, was born on October 7, 1997 to Mark Tywayne Windrick, Sr. and Tawanna Tarvin in Greenwood, MS.
A Time to Be Love & Nurtured:
Mark Jr., as a small child, entered the Life and Heart of his Bonus Mother, Santai Windrick, and remained there until God called him home.
A Time to Confess:
Mark, Jr., accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He attended Gipson Street Church of God in Eupora, MS with his Grandmother, Mary W. Thompson. He later became a member of Union Grove M.B. Church in Clarksdale, MS under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. L.C. Tyler, Sr. He was actively involved in the church where he was a member of Youth Bible class, Sunday School, Youth choir and the Junior Usher Board.
A Time to Live:
During his early years of Life, Mark, Jr. attended Eupora Elementary School (Eupora, MS), where he met his first “Best Friend” and cousin, Corina Windrick. Mark, Jr., later moved to Clarksdale, MS where he was actively involved in Pee-Wee football during his elementary school years and he continued to play football during his Jr. High and High school years in Clarksdale, MS. Mark, Jr. was a very talented singer, songwriter, piano player (by ear) and he had a wonderful way with bringing Humor to every situation. Mark, Jr. had a smile that would light up any room and before you know it, he would have you smiling with him. Mark, Jr. graduated from Coahoma County High School (Clarksdale, MS) in 2016. After graduation, he attended Coahoma Community College on a Choir scholarship. After leaving college, Mark joined his family in Cordova, TN and began his working career until his death.
A Time of Demise:
On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Mark Jr., was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mark, Jr., was proceeded in death by his Great Grandparents, Geraldine and Leona Windrick, and two aunts, Unadell “Kizzie” Windrick and Lily Margaret Windrick.
A Time to Cherish Memories:
Parental Family: He leaves to cherish his father and mother, Mark T. Windrick, Sr. and Santai Windrick; two brothers, Lacius Windrick and SãLyrion Windrick; three sisters, Ashanti Windrick, Ananda Windrick and Malaysia Windrick; a nephew, Kairo ShaKir Windrick, all of Cordova, TN; A very Special Grandmother, Mary W. Thompson (Eupora, MS) who helped raised him and was a vital part of Mark, Jr.’s life; Grandfather Sam Baskin, Jr. (Marietta, GA); one aunt, Tameka Thompson (Eupora, MS); five uncles, George Windrick, Leandre Thompson of Eupora, MS; Marvin Baskin (Acworth, GA), Earnest Baskin (Powder Springs, GA) and Sam R. Baskin (Tampa, FL).
Maternal Family: Mark, Jr., leaves to cherish his mother, Tawana Tarvin; two brothers, Shane Wooley and Isaiah Wooley; Grandmother, Shirley Allen; two uncles, Walter Tarvin and Jessie Allen all of Monroe, LA.
Special Bonus Family: Mark, Jr., leaves to cherish his Bonus Grandfather and Grandmother, Frankie & Alice Muskin (Clarksdale, MS); a special uncle, Clifton (Lakether) Muskin, Sr. (Walls, MS); two special aunts, Carolyn (Adam) Dawson (Horn Lake, MS) and Cheryl Ranson (Milwaukee, WI).
