Mary Pearl (Horton) Thomas was born November 30, 1952 in Peoria, IL to Lorine Clark-Horton Talley and the late Moses Lee Horton, Sr. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was later baptized under the leadership of Brother John Deberry, Knight Arnold Church Of Christ. She was a graduate of Melrose High School. The Lord called her home on Friday, June 26, 2020. Mary was 67 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Moses Lee Horton, Sr., her step-father Acy Lee Talley, Sr., 2 grandchildren, Percy F. Jones, IV and Chariet C. Thomas & her sister Gwendolyn (Talley) Collins. She also leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband of 48 years, Charles Edward Thomas, Sr., 1 daughter, Falandara Nicole Jones (Percy), 1 Son, Charles Edward Thomas II (Tudie), 2 grandchildren, Nikira Thomas, Charleston T. Thomas, 3 great grandchildren, Makayla, MaKenzie and Malaysia Thomas, her mother, Ms. Lorine Talley, 4 sisters, Carolyn Tunstall (Tyrone), Linda Talley, Angela Talley and Tara Talley (sister/daughter), 4 brothers, Moses Horton, Jr., Acy Talley, Jr., Johnny Talley & Christopher Talley. A special niece/daughter, Ashley Mukes, a nephew/son, Acy Talley III, a special sister-in-law, Hazel Boyd, and a host of other relatives, friends and numerous godchildren.
