Maurice Johnson, 61, died May 30, 2016.
Mr. Maurice V. Johnson was born on August 13, 1954, to the union of Mr. Sammie L. Johnson, Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Johnson Pruitt, who preceded him in death. Maurice made his transition May 30, 2016 at 61 years of age.
He was educated in the Memphis City School system. Maurice worked as a machine operator for various companies, one being Electrolux in Nashville, TN. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior prior to his death.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Felisia Dukes on October 19, 1989. Maurice leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Felisia Johnson; children, Katrice (Rickarido) Marshall, Maurice Watkins, Ebony (Joshua) Bursi, Tiffany Johnson, Maurice Johnson and Sandra Gray; sisters, Chris (Charles) Willis, Willie B. Scruggs, Georgia Grandberry, Susizett ( Leedale) Colbert, Fannie Johnson, Catherine Pruitt; brothers, Robert Johnson (Lula), Curtis McMillan; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, and funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday the 4th, both at Gilmer Temple COGIC, 1297 Adelaide St, Memphis, TN 38106. Burial will be at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
