Obituary for Michael G. Sanders
Michael G. Sanders, of Memphis, TN, age 53, died November 14, 2015.
Michael (Mike) Glenn Sanders was born December 30, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Arthur Sanders, Jr. and Mozella Sanders. He attended Kingsbury High School and Graggs Vocational School where he studied auto mechanics. At a very early age, Mike begin to practice auto repair at his home and became known as the neighbor mechanic.
In 1979 Mike joined the Marine Corps as a Private First Class and a rifle marksman. After serving the Marines he became a security guard and car salesman for City Auto Sales. After years of workings for others, he decided to become self-employed as an auto mechanic. For years he worked as the neighborhood mechanic. Mike claimed he could fix anything that had an engine. He was a joy to be around and he loved animals. In his backyard, you could see all the cars he was working on and his collection of animals: dogs, chickens, pigeons, a horse and his favorite bird Peanut. Mike also loved fishing with his sister Beverly and spending time with friends and his daughter Nicole and son Lil Mike. Mike loved his family and everyone loved hanging around his house. Mike had so many friends, and he will be missed by each person whose life that he touched.
Mike departed this life, leaving to mourn his precious memories the love of his life, his daughter Nicole Sharp- Sanders, his beloved son Michael Sanders, Jr, his daughter Chelsea Rowland, his sons Chase Rowland and B. Glenn Sanders and his loving mother Mozella Sanders of West Memphis, Arkansas, four brothers, Arthur Lee Sanders, Jr., Arthur B. Sanders, Ricky Sanders and Greg Sanders, and of course his loving childhood brother, Charles Nelson. He had five sisters Beverly Sanders-Telfer (Chuck), Fannie Sanders-Thomas (Charlie), Sharon Sanders (Christopher), Stephanie Sanders-Taylor (Christopher) and Alisha Vanrensalier. He also leaves his loving cousins, Bonzel Sanders, Stacy Sanders, and Kenney Sanders. He also leaves other relatives and many dear friends.
