Mildred Batts, 85, April 30, 2019.
Mildred was born on December 22, 1933 in Benton, Mississippi. Mildred was a homemaker and a mom.She was survived by a son, Pierce Batts; three daughters, Janice Batts, Vonda Batts, and Carolyn Lane of Lithonia, GA; her sister, Willie V. Moore; her brother, Hugh Moore of Memphis; her grandchildren, Devin HArdeman, Demarius Batts, Gerren D. Batts, Candice Brewer, Tiffany Brewer, Zellary Conwell, Kiara Conwell, Brandon Conwell, LaQuinta Keith, LaShell Lane, Willie Lane, Kimberly Lane, Chamas Walker, Alicia Walker, Darius Lane; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also known as Red Bone, She had a heart of gold, and was a loving and giving person. She was always willing to share whatever she has even when she couldn’t afford to. She loved to cook and eating was her passion. She would say, “Let me taste a little of that!” which quickly became more than a little taste. And after every meal she had to have dessert.
