On February 13, 1956, God blessed Roscoe and Joe Ella Woodard with a precious baby girl. She was child number 7 out of 10 (the number of completion).
Orine confessed her hope and belief in Christ at an early age at Lake Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Horace Robinson. She attended Walker Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High, receiving her diploma from Southside High School. After graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Army making it her career occupation. While enjoying her years of travel, learning and growing in many way her family was always the center of her focus. She was very compassionate, giving, and helped others obtain their goals. After her military service she was employed by FedEx and served the younger generations as a substitute teacher with the Memphis City School System.
Orine transitioned to eternal peace on Friday, October 11, 2024 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Roscoe and Joe Ella Woodard and one brother, Calvin Woodard.
To carry on her legacy and cherish her memories is her sister, Lorine Overton of Cordova, TN; a sister-in-law, Dearn Woodard of Memphis, TN; brothers, Henry Brown, Rommie Wooard and Cornell Woodard (Mary) all of Memphis, TN; Eddie Woodard (Stephanie) of Bartlett, TN, Nathaniel Woodard (Alzalia) of Hampton, VA, Darnell Woodard (Carol) Houston, TX, and Clarence Woodard (Gloria) of Pottstown, PA. God entrusted Orine to care for two little girls, Tanisha Coleman-Horton and Tiernay Scott. She has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to carry on her legacy as well.
