Obituary for Priscilla Smith

Priscilla was born Priscilla Marie Baker in Cleveland, Ohio to the Frank Swanson and Maxine Baker. She was the third oldest of 4 children. Later she relocated to Memphis, Tennessee with her Mother and Step-Father George Daniel.

Priscilla's biggest hobbies were cooking, interior decorating and doing hair. She decorated for most holidays and cooked for the family which she had a passion for. We considered her our soul food queen because she loved to fellowship with her family and friends, leaving behind her legendary coleslaw recipe among other dishes.

She worked various warehouse jobs until she fulfilled her passion as a Cosmetologist, she eventually went on to obtain her license in Cosmetology…She was very creative with styling hair. Later in her life she worked at Walgreens as a Cosmetic Tech.

In Memphis, Tennessee she met the love of her life G.W. Smith Jr., they dated for 7 years then married. She joined Greater Hyde Park Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles Thomas where she professed a hope in Jesus Christ.
