Robert Allen Wilson, Jr., 66, died October 5, 2019.
Robert Allen Wilson Jr. was born on May 24, 1953 in Memphis, TN to the late Robert Wilson Sr. and Ollie Maeon Wilson.
At an early age, Robert confessed his faith in Christ at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. He later united fellowship with Greater Restoration Global Temple under the leadership of Pastor Mary Brown Lee where he remained until his passing
Robert, lovingly known as “Woop”, graduated from Douglass High School (1971) in Memphis, TN and attended a dual program at State Tech Institute. In 1972, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy.
After years of dating, he and Patricia (BeBe) were married in 2008. They enjoyed traveling and cruising, especially to the Bahamas and they shared a long and loving relationship
Robert loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to BBQ, dressing in his nice suits w/ Stacey Adams and listening to Jimmy Hendrix. He was a man known for “few words” & “short phone calls”. We all looked forward to each and every holiday and birthday card that he mailed out faithfully
Robert’s loving family extends to 2 daughters Veronica Nicole Wilson and Robin Wilson-Sanford (Ben); 4 step children Marlon Jennings, Sarah Roby, Starr Lester (Terrance) and Alegra Heard; 3 sisters Joyce Thompkins, Deon Brown (Kippy), Kim Wilson Bond; 3 brothers Sonny Wilson (deceased), Terence Wilson (Nicole) and Paul Wilson; 5 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law; loving aunts and uncles; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates and special friends.
