Obituary for Robert Hershell Moss, Sr.
Robert H. Moss, Sr., 69, died May 13, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Laura Moss; son, Robert Moss, Jr.; and daughter, Kirsten Mason. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 24 from 10 :00 - 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., all at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View Road. Burial will be Thursday, May 24 in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 1:15 p.m

Robert H. Moss was born May 15, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Calvin and Elnora Moss. He was the oldest of nine children. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Fews Memorial CME Church in River Rouge, Michigan, Pastored by Rev. P.C. Campbell. Robert rededicated his life to Christ in April 2018. Robert H. Moss Changed his address to his heavenly home on May 13, 2018. His devotion to his wife and family, along with his firm belief in God, ultimately gave him peace.
Robert was educated in the Detroit Public School System. He later served as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1968—1970. After, he worked for at Panhanle Pipeline and Gas Company, where he was employed for 33 years. He traveled all over southeast Michigan to perform various jobs. He was also a “jack of all trades”, fixing and building anything . Whatever he started he would finish. He especially loved woodworking.
On November 12, 2001, Robert was reunited in holy marriage to Laura Holmes Moss.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Moss, Courtney Moss, Michael Moss and Victor; sisters, Doris Jean Moss and Shirley Moss. Robert leaves to cherish his loving memory his loving and devoted wife, Laura Moss; two children, Robert Moss, Jr. (Janeen) and Kirsten Mason (philippe) of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Jalea, Lathan , Blaise; three-step children, Seabron Glover ( Lotika), Tamiko Glover, and Keniko Glover, all of Memphis; two brothers, Rudy Moss ( Dale) of Detroit, Michigan, and Kenneth Moss of Memphis; sisters, Linda Moss—Wesson ( Charles) , Arlene Moss (Kirk) of Detroit and Carolyn Moss—Harris (Thomas) of Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
