Obituary for Robert Patrick Phillips
Robert Patrick Phillips, 48, died February 18, 2017.
Robert Patrick Phillips was born on October 11, 1968 to the late Robert & Elnora Phillips in Memphis, TN. He accepted Christ to be his Lord and Savior in 1985.
Robert graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1986. Robert also met the love of his life, Robin Robinson while attending Whitehaven High School. The two married in 1987 and through this union they had Robert Jr. & Raven Phillips.
In 1986 Robert began working at GT&G Construction Co. alone with his father, and thereafter went to work at Sacred Heart in Walls, MS. From then on Robert decided to follow his dreams and attend Pazzaz Cosmetology School where he obtained his cosmetology license.
In 1992 Robert went to work as a barber at the Beauty Box. In 2000 Robert & Robin opened a beauty and barber shop which Robert named Success Styling Salon. Robert used the shop to spread the Gospel, mentor young people and help those who were in need. Robert was a man of God, a giver and a peace maker. Robert called the shop his “Barber Shop Ministry.”
Robert went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2017. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Robin Lynette Phillips; two children, Mr. Robert P. Phillips Jr. (Ranesha), and Ms. Raven J. Phillips; five sisters, Ms. Vickie A. Malone (Johnny), Mrs. Deborah A Sharp, Mrs. Shoundra Gilliand (Willie), Mrs. Rochelle Moore (Richard), and Mrs. Lisa R. Jackson (Leonard); two grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Phillips; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
