Obituaries
Rosa B. Foster (affectionately called “Momma Rose”) by her family was born December 27, 1932 in Memphis Tennessee to the late Clarence Cochran, Sr. and Rosetta Kelly Cochran. She grew up in the Orange Mound Community and attended Melrose High School. She professed her faith in Christ at St. John Baptist Church where she played piano during services. She later joined Olivet Fellowship Baptist Church in 2000 under Reverend Kenneth Whalum, Sr. and afterwards she served under Pastor Eugene Gibson, Jr. She was a member of the Palms fellowship and attended Wednesday Bible Study.
Rosa worked many jobs before landing her dream job working many years at Cleo Wrap, Co. She formed many close friendships during her tenure at Cleo Wrap.
Rosa was a champion card player during her younger years but recently her hobbies were attending Church, watching television, and shopping at Super Lo grocery store.
Rosa was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Cochran, Jr., James Cochran, two sons, Michael Turner, Gregory Turner, and one daughter, Carolyn Turner.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Cox (Gregory), Gloria Williams, and a son Calvin Foster. She is also survived by five grandsons, Gregory Cox (Kyla), Kevin Cox (Amy), Napoleon Henderson, (Ebony), Brandon Turner,(Deja), Anthonie Turner (Tracy). Rosa leaves several great grandchildren and other family and friends.
